If it does not have access to enough memory, The Way Things Work will run slowly or produce out-of-memory errors. In such cases, the following suggestions may help to improve the program's performance: 1. Shut down any other applications you are running. 2. The Way Things Work needs a minimum of 4MB of memory. Find out how much memory your computer has available by shutting down any open applications and then typing MEM and pressing enter at the DOS prompt.
